My reading goal for 2009 was 50 books and I made it to 73. This year I don't have a goal but I am definitely looking for good books to read.

Reviews

The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay- definitely my favorite of the year.  These books are must reads for everyone regardless of what you like to read.  Suzanne Collins is an excellent author and writes in such a way that you are emotionally attached to a character within pages of reading.  All of the books pull you in and transport you into a war-torn world where the fate of Panem rests on the shoulders of Katniss Everdeen.

The Graceling- another great book.  The book was really hard for me to start reading but once I got into it I was captivated. I woudn't necessarily classify this as a must read but it is definitely a good book.

House Rules- this book follows the same layout as other Jodi Picoult books where each chapter is by a different author. I thought it was told from a really neat perspective since one of the main characters has autism.  There were some twists and turns but other parts were predictable.  I would classify this as a good book but not a must read.

L.A. Candy and Sweet Little Lies- these books were just what I was hoping for and what I like to call a little reading snack.  I was suprised by Lauren Conrad's writing and enjoyed escaping into her world of reality t.v.

An Honorable Run- is a good book about a runner and his coaches.  Throughout this journey the author discovers a lot about himself, life and what is most important.  One thing I really enjoyed about the book was how honest Matt was about his thoughts and experiences.

The Carrie Diaries- I enjoyed the book but was dissapointed in some of the discrepencies between the book and the show.  I love Sex and the City and was sad to find out that the book wasn't consistent with the show.  The book was charming and it was neat to get a glimpse into the life of Carrie before she moved to New York.

The Help- another book I really enjoyed and would strongly recommend.  The book is told from the perspective of three different women and is written very well.  The characters are very genuine and the story is impelling.
